So what was it about Sodom and Gomorrah that angered the Lord so ?
Was it just men preferring other men to women ?And why was the only woman who was not a male preference turned into a statue of Salt ? She was after all the wife of a Prophet, Lot. Yet, she longed back to Sodom and Gomorrah
So what is Sodom and Gomorrah ?
Is it a place where people are not straight ? (not just in the sexual sense), is it a place where everything is twisted (as opposed to straight) ?
Is it a place where the Feminine is no longer central in the lives of its inhabitants, a place where men preferred men to women, where men preferred the Masculine to the Feminine ?
And why was the Prophet’s wife turned into a statue of Salt, what did she long back for in nostalgia ? Why was she made inert, immobilized into a statue instead ? Why did she become a frozen organism in time ?
And what are the properties of Salt ?Salt is originally found in Water, when taken out of Water, it becomes a residue, It crystallizes with Time, it hardens with Time, taking on properties of Stones….We can easily run out of Water, but we can’t run out of Salt. Water is a living thing, Salt outside of Water is a residue, that loses its benefits i.e its purpose.
Water is the property of the Feminine. When she was turned into a statue of Salt, it was in a place where there was no Water, i.e no Life. No chance of dissolving again into the Flow.
It is not a coincidence that the area where Lot is buried is called the DEAD sea, a sea whose salt content makes it impossible for any organism to live or survive.
Was the effacement of the Feminine such a horrendous act in the eyes of God, enough to turn any female, that longs back in nostalgia for such a state, into paralysis, into lifelessness, even though she is a Prophet’s wife ?
I think so too.
Habit, Habitat, habitation, habits (in French meaning clothes), s’habiller to clothe oneself, —-all share one theme in common - routine. You routinely go to your habitation, you routinely dress yourself, you routinely eat, you routinely work, and you routinely pray…Routine is habit forming. Routine is the killer of Meaning. Unless, of course, you consciously infuse your Routine with Meaning. The secret word here is Consciously.
Not only will they dictate to you your trajectory, but they will also pull you back. Once you realize this, you can step forward
But you do matter, somehow, somewhere, but not as much as you like to believe.
The same applies to separation and loss, one can never root out, pluck out, the departed from one’s mind, one can only live with their departure and ironically with their presence. Just make sure they don’t take over the whole house.
One can never pluck out, root out trauma from one’s mind. But one can prevent it from taking all over the whole house, and assign it to a room, for which you hold the key. Your mind is a house with many rooms.
It is always about them - insert whoever you want - their needs, wishes, desires, aspirations, lives, problems, worries, issues, ailments, expectations, dramas, history, past, present and future.
I have stopped counting the number of them. With all this self centrism, I keep wondering how come all this lack of Fulfillment. Could it be that it is precisely this self centrism that is the culprit ? A question worth pondering.
